Dan Conrad

FIELD CTO AND PRINCIPAL TECHNOLOGIST, Commvault

Dan Conrad has a rich background in Active Directory engineering, solutions architecture, and identity strategy, Dan has served as a CTO and systems administrator for organizations ranging from 10,000 to over 200,000 users. His journey began in the U.S. Air Force, where he worked in information management.  After retiring from the Air Force in 2004, he transitioned to government IT as a contractor for the U.S. Army, focusing on complex solutions for large enterprises. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. His credentials include CISSP, CEH, MCITP, and MCSE/MCSA certifications.

DARREN THOMSON

VICE-PRESIDENT & CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (FIELD), EMEA AND INDIA, Commvault

Over his 30+ year career, Darren worked at CyberCube, heading the Cyber Intelligence Unit and defined the go-to market strategy for the global cyber insurance industry. He served as CTO at Symantec EMEA for several years and was responsible for a team of 200+ technicians. At Symantec, Darren was the technical evangelist for Cloud, IOT, Risk Management and Security Strategy, and he held a similar role at Veritas. He is a published author and his latest full book is “Delivery Utility Computing: Business Driven IT Optimization” (ISBN 0-470-01576-4). He was educated in Hertfordshire, UK and holds a Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE) in Social Science as well as several I.T. related qualifications including ITIL Practitioner and Management of Risk (“MoR”) accreditations from the UK Office of Government Commerce. 

GARETH RUSSELL

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, SECURITY FOR ASIA PACIFIC, Commvault

Based in Australia, Gareth has 20 years of expertise in cybersecurity and technology in both the public sector and commercial sectors. He has extensive experience in implementing cybersecurity services in large and complex environments. Through this, he has hands-on experience navigating a wide variety of cybersecurity and operational challenges, while transforming organizational culture with a focus on cyber resiliency.

During his 25+ years in the software industry, Ian has worked in a variety of roles in data management and security practices, previously at Veritas and Symantec. Ian and his team are engaged with customers to design Cyber resilience solutions to solve complex problems for organizations across multiple business sectors. Ian’s interest and experience into Cyber and Business and Disaster recovery provide a unique perspective in defending and recovering organizations and institutions from Cyber threats in the 21st century. 

JASON GERRARD

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF SALES ENGINEERING, EMEA AND INDIA, Commvault

Jason currently leads the Commvault EMEA SE team and is focused on driving innovative enablement and messaging programs for GSI, Distribution, VAR and Alliance partners. Over his 25+ year career Jason worked for Veritas as the EMEA & APJ Director of Sales Engineering, responsible for Channel, Strategy, Operations and Technical Practices. He also worked at Seagate, managing the technical and commercial strategy for Enterprise products.  While at Lenovo, he served as Chief Technical Architect for Servers and Storage.  He started life as an Avionics Technician in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for the British Army.

Michael is a seasoned IT industry professional with over 30 years of experience in various roles. Throughout his career, Michael has held significant positions including Data Protection Practice Leader, Data Protection Strategist, and Principal Architect.

In her current role, Vidya evangelizes Cloud, data security, AI and emerging technologies with customers and partners and ensures a seamless integration of Commvault’s solutions in customers’ data architecture.
